Position size before entry
Size is chosen from the stop and the cash, not from confidence.
Write three numbers before any entry exists: account cash you are willing to treat as risk capital, percent or cash allowed on one idea, and the invalidation price in the quote.
Distance to invalidation in pips (or in price) is the denominator. Size is what makes 'distance x size' equal the cash you allowed. If the platform cannot offer that small a size, skip the idea.
Example shape (use your own numbers): 1,000 cash, 10 cash allowed (1%), stop 25 pips away. Size must be such that 25 pips costs about 10. If you cannot complete this sentence with arithmetic, you are not sizing. You are guessing.
Two positions that lose together are one idea. Correlated pairs do not double your wisdom. They double your size.
Practice this on paper for a week. The free curriculum PDF walks the same drill in Unit 3 and Unit 9. The paid academy supervises it. Neither turns the drill into income.
